SHREVEPORT, La. – Oklahoma City University suffered a 1-0 loss to LSU-Shreveport in women's soccer Saturday morning.
LSUS senior Shaderia Evans scored the game-winning goal in the 76th minute. The Stars start off their season 0-1.
OCU controlled the ball for most of the game, outshooting LSUS 19-4. Caroline Dixon, a freshman from Manchester, England, led the Stars' offense with nine shots, three on goal. However, the LSUS goalkeeper, Amber Salvucci, kept the Stars from scoring, notching seven saves for the match.
Brittany Tibbs had three saves for the Stars.
The Stars will take on Texas-Tyler at 11 a.m. in the LSU-Shreveport Invitational on Monday in Shreveport, La.
